Two men in their early twenties were killed after their two wheeler collided on government's public toilet wall near Sathy Road as the driver lost control of the vehicle they had been riding playfully.
Coimbatore: Two people were killed in a two wheeler accident in Coimbatore.
Krishnasamy, 21, hails from Kurinjipadi in Cuddalore district. Sreejith, 25, a resident of the same village, was staying at a hostel in Annur and working in a private mill. The duo, along with their friend Lourdes Sagayaraj (25), a native of Annur, were riding a two-wheeler on the Annur-Sathi road playfully.
The boys reportedly lost control of the vehicle near Upputhottam cut road on Sathi Road, and hit the wall of the government public toilet on the side of the road. Lakshmi (60), who was in the toilet, was seriously injured.
Krishnasamy and Sreejith, who were seriously injured in the accident, died on the way to the hospital. Lourdhu Sagayaraj, who was seriously injured, is undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Coimbatore. Annur police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are investigating.
