Coimbatore Corporation Central Zone President Meena Loku has writtento the CCMC Commissioner on the shortage of garbage collection vehicles in the city. The corporation trucks and autos, which were used to carry garbage in the taluks under the central zone of Coimbatore corporation, were sent several months ago for FC certification. But since the corporation has not paid for the FC, the vehicles are yet to be handed over to the corporation.
This has resulted in difficulties to collect, dispose of garbage at various places within the central zone. She requested the Corporation Commissioner to immediately resolve the issue and arrange for the full supply of vehicles within the central zone.
