President SIMA Ravi Sam, CITI President Rajkumar, Tirupur Exporters Association President Raja Shanmugam, Joint Secretary R Senthilkumar, Coordinator, Indian Textrenurs Federation (ITF) Prabhu Damodaran, Handloom Export Promotion Council Vice President K G Prithvi, Tamil Nadu Powerloom Federation Secretary S S K Ganesan and Karur Handloom Export Promotion Council Joint Secretary A Sethupathi met and thanked the Chief Minister for persuading the Union Government to waive the 11 tax levied on cotton imports.

The Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, R Gandhi, Principal Secretary Handloom, Handicrafts and Textiles Dharmendra Pratap Yadav and Commissioner, Textiles Department Dr. M Vallalar were also present at the meeting.
