The East zone president Lakshmi Ilanjselvi Karthik after inspecting area in ward 55, said that strict action will be taken to prevent the contamination of kulatheri water on the Coimbatore-Trichy road.
Coimbatore: The East zone president Lakshmi Ilanjselvi Karthik inspected the ward 55 in Coimbatore.

Lakshmi Karthik, president of the Coimbatore Corporation east Zone, inspected the area in connection with the removal of encroachments in Vasantham Nagar under ward 55.

She held the inspection along with the officers based on the complaint that Corporation owned lands were being occupied by private parties.

She subsequently inspected ward 61 on Trichy road, to take measures to prevent contamination of the Kulatheri water.

She assured that the garbage in the area, the blockages in the canals leading to the lake, shall be removed using sanitary workers and JCB machines and measures to retrieve the occupied lands will be taken as quickly as possible.

Assistant Commissioner Mariselvi, Assistant Town Planning Officer Jayalakshmi, Engineer Sundararajan and others were present during the inspection.
