Accordingly, one of Hariharan's kidneys is to be donated to a patient undergoing dialysis treatment at the Government Hospital in Coimbatore while the other kidney will be donated to a patient undergoing continuous dialysis treatment at the Salem Government Hospital. Hariharan's liver is to be donated to a private hospital in Coimbatore, while his eyes will be donated to two patients undergoing treatment at Aravind Eye Hospital.

District Collector G S Sameeran who heard about the family's consent to donate the youth's organs visited the Coimbatore Government Hospital in person and met Hariharan's mother and relatives and consoled them.

He also thanked the family for agreeing to the organ donation and then laid a wreath on Hariharan's body and garlanded it.

Nirmala, Dean, Coimbatore Government Hospital and other doctors were present during the Collector's visit.

Hariharan's body was then shifted to his residence.

Earlier in the day, the relatives of the youth had requested the Coimbatore District Collector to take appropriate action with regard to the allegation that treatment was delayed and improper at the Valparai Government Hospital.
