The AIADMK Amma Peravai Coimbatore District Joint Secretary, Anubhav Ravi is being questioned by a police team led by the Coimbatore West IG, Sudhakar.
Coimbatore: An investigation team led by Coimbatore West IG Sudhakar is interrogating the AIADMK Amma Peravai Coimbatore District Joint Secretary, Anubhav Ravi in connection with the Kodanad murder-cum-heist case.
It has been discovered that Kanagaraj, the main accused in the Kodanad case reportedly made his last phone call to AIADMK's Anubhav Ravi, which has led the investigating team to interrogate Anubhav Ravi. On April 28, 2017, within four days after the murder-cum-heist at the Kodanad estate, Kanagaraj died reportedly in a road accident at Attur near Salem.
The security guard, Om Bahadur who worked at the Kodanad estate of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalithaa was murdered and some belongings were stolen from the estate. The police arrested 10 people, including Sayan, in connection with the case. Further, a re-investigation into the case has been underway since August, last year. Five special squads have been formed under the West Zone IG Sudhakar, Coimbatore to further investigate the case.
More than 200 people, including Estate Manager Natarajan and Sasikala's cousin Vivek Jayaraman have been questioned. Two days ago, the police questioned former AIADMK MLA Arukutty for five hours.
Anubhav Ravi had earlier filed a petition in the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court seeking that he should not be questioned. The petitions were dismissed and he is currently being interrogated by the Special Task Force.
