Cloud Manufacturing startup Frigate has raised their Oversubscribed Pre Seed round of $175,000 from Vel Kanniappan, Zetwerk Founder, Srinath Ramakkrushnan, Abhishek Raj Pandey, Head of Sourcing and Procurement, Mamaearth, Vijay Pravin Maharajan of Bitscrunch, Prabhu Sengodan of SPK groups, Founders of M2P Fintech, Mohan and Jaikumar of Ippopay, Sundararaman Ramasamy, Founder of Wilcosource US and other Angel investors from Japan and US.
Founded in 2021, Frigate® is a On-Demand Cloud manufacturing marketplace platform which provides Fabrication, 3D printing, CNC machining services quick, risk-free and affordable for OEM’s, SME’s and Startups. They have onboarded 150 SME’s in their platform for making their Metal and plastic parts from Tier2 and Tier3 Cities like Becharaji, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Belagavi, Trivandrum, Palakkad, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Jamshedpur, Hosur, Trichy, Madurai, Erode, Salem, Indore, Pithampur, Coimbatore covering almost all Industrial states in India. The company is making use of their capabilities to supply the increased global demand in Electric Vehicle, Defence and Aerospace.
They have already exported parts to Singapore and Spain and they want India to be a manufacturing hub for the globe. With the raised amount, they are developing an AI enabled platform by identifying the topology of the design and sending it to the right machines available in our platform to manufacture the same by connecting machines via IIOT.
With their OPTMAN (Manufacturing Optimized) platform Frigate is enabling transparency and dynamic availability of machines which makes OEM’s decide their production plan upfront and manufacture their parts at their desks without maintaining the inventory. They are also planning to setup Offices at Chennai and Bengaluru to increase the headcount to 100+ within next fiscal.
