The Kinathukadavu police have registered a case to investigate the suicide of the young boy.
Coimbatore: A school boy studying in Class 6 ended his life by suicide after his father refused to give him a mobile phone to play games.
Palanisamy, a resident of Kannappan Nagar in Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district lives with his wife Kittanammal, three daughters Muthumari, Veppilaikari and Esamma and two sons Easwaran and Arjunan. Arjunan who is studying in Class 6 at the Sikkalampalayam Government Middle School returned home as usual and asked his father for the mobile phone to play games.
After his father's refusal, an upset Arjunan reportedly hanged himself to death after locking himself in a room. The Kinathukadavu police were informed about the incident and reached the house immediately. They recovered Arjunan's body and sent it to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem. The Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and are continuing to investigate the suicide.
