Coimbatore: A woman lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Collector, G S Sameeran stating that Ward No. 3 Councillor, Kavitha was trying to kill her and that the Corporation North Zone Chairman Kathirvel has been preventing her from lodging a complaint.
Manjula who hails from Udayampalayam in Coimbatore runs a medical equipment manufacturing company in the area. Kavitha, DMK Councillor from Ward No. 3 of Coimbatore Corporation had allegedly tried usurping her company and had threatened to also kill Manjula's daughter. Kavitha had reportedly been working in Manjula's company prior to becoming the Councillor and has now been indulging in such activities using the power of Councillor.
Manjula also complained that the DMK North Zone President Kathirvel was also threatening her to prevent her from filing a complaint at the Saravanampatti police station regarding Kavitha's threats. She requested the District Collector to take appropriate action in this regard.
