Coimbatore City Corporation health care workers disinfected residences in North Zone, Ward 28, Avarampalayam Pattalamman Street in an effort to prevent spread of diseases caused by mosquito breeding.
Coimbatore: Measures to prevent mosquito breeding in an effort to prevent dengue is being undertaken by the Coimbatore Corporation.

On Monday, April 11, health care workers from the Corporation went door-to-door in North Zone, Ward 28, Avarampalayam Pattalamman Street and disinfected the area with Abate medicine. The workers also cleared the region of unwanted items where water is stored or stagnates, and thoroughly inspected the region for the presence of mosquito larvae in containers storing water.
Since various infections including dengue spread due to breeding of mosquitoes, the Corporation has intensified prevention measures. The Health Officer Radhakrishnan inspected the areas on April 11.
