Coimbatore: Cosmetic surgeons at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital successfully performed a cosmetic surgery, which included fat grafting and hair transplantation on a 20-year-old woman who had been suffering from a rare syndrome called Parry Romberg Syndrome.
Four months ago, the 20-year-old woman approached doctors at CMCH rueful that she looked older than her age, and had also realised there was shedding of her left eyebrow. Plastic surgeons at CMCH examined her and diagnosed her with a rare syndrome called the Parry Romberg Syndrome. To boost the woman's morale, the surgeons decided to perform cosmetic surgery that included fat grafting and hair transplantation for her.
The surgeries were performed under the guidance of the Hospital Dean, Dr. Nirmala along with Dr. Ramanan, Dr. Senthilkumar, Dr. Prakash, Kavitha, Priya, Sivakumar and others members of the plastic surgery team at CMCH. The 20-year-old woman was elated and stated that she has gained confidence post-surgery.
