All manner of corruption from road laying to underground drainage will be exposed: Jayaraman, Arappor Iyakkam

Jayaraman, the coordinator of Arappor Iyakkam, said that Arappor will act as a monitoring committee to expose corruption in all government activities.


Coimbatore: The inaugural meeting of the Coimbatore district Arappor Iyakkam was held at a private arena near the Anna Silai area of Coimbatore.

The meeting was held in the presence of the organisations coordinator Jayaraman and was attended by a number of new executives. The meeting called for a complete e-tender.

Speaking to reporters at the meeting, Jayaraman, said that Arappor was working in Coimbatore to expose the daily corruption that could take place in the district.

He said that there was corruption in the bus shade umbrella in the Chennai corporation and that corruption was taking place in the setting up of the umbrella in the Coimbatore corporation. He also requested an inquiry into the matter.

He said that the Arappor Iyakkam had uncovered many scandals from Chennai and that they would also expose the scandals currently taking place in Coimbatore. He also said that the Arappor Iyakkam would act as a monitoring committee to uncover corruption in Coimbatore from road to sewer.

We will expose and punish corruption in panchayats, municipalities and corporations.

Following Coimbatore, we will operate in more than 15 locations in Trichy, Madurai and Chengalpattu.

Out of the 15 complaints I have lodged, only two have been registered and the Anti-Corruption Department has been slow to act.

He said the bus umbrella scandal would continue under this regime and exposed three scandals in the last 10 months and canceled three tenders. He further said that we have exposed the corruption in the Electricity Board and the irregularities in the Electricity Regulatory Board.

He said that there were some more corruption complaints against DMK ministers and that corruption complaints would come out at the end of our research in months.

Minister Rajakannappan said that he should have been informed that he would be removed from the Cabinet until the inquiry into the matter was completed and that he should be removed from the Cabinet.
