The award ceremony is set to take place today to also mark the 48th anniversary of KG Hospitals in Coimbatore. Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji is participating in the function.
The award presentation ceremony will be held today to mark the centenary of the KG Group of Companies operating in Coimbatore and the 48-year anniversary of the hospital. Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji is participating in the function.
Padmashri Bakthavatchalam, President and Physician at KG Hospital spoke at the press conference: -
It’s 48 years since the inception of the KG Hospital in Coimbatore and its been a hundred years since the establishment ofKG Group of Companies by my late father K. Govindasamy Naidu.
We have treated over 27 lakh patients in this hospital. There are life-saving departments in gynecology, such as the intensive care unit, the accident unit, and so on. The hospital was not started for making profits.
Our hospital employs about 1250 people as 250 doctors, 300 nurses, technicians and hospital staff.
The award also recognizes 135 employees who have excelled at the hospital for more than 30 years in recognition of their service.
