Coimbatore: A seven-day festival will be held at the V.O.C. Ground in Coimbatore from March 31 to April 6 on the occasion of 75 years of Indian Independence.
The 75th Anniversary of India's Independence Day will be celebrated at the V.O.C. Grounds in Coimbatore Corporation for seven days from March 31 to April 6.
Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran, Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Raigopal Sunkara inaugurated a multi-disciplinary exhibition on the occasion of 'Independence Day Amudha Peruvizha' at V.O.C. Grounds, Coimbatore Corporation on Thursday, 31st March.
Coordinated by the Department of Communications, Coimbatore District, the program that will be organised for 7 days will be open to the public in which a photo gallery of the freedom fighters of Coimbatore district has been set up to commemorate the freedom fighters of Coimbatore district.
An exhibition has also been established by the District Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Coimbatore, Department of Welfare of differently abled persons, Animal Husbandry Department and Medical Department for the public to see.
