The Standing Committee Election of Coimbatore Corporation was recently held in Coimbatore. The chairpersons for the committees including Accounts, Education, Public Health, Taxation and Finance, Town Planning, and Works were elected unanimously in the election.
P Mariselvan, the Ward 80 Councillor is elected as the Chairman of the Public Health Committee.
The ward 59 council member, Deepa Thalapathy Ilango is elected as the Chairman of Accounts Committee,
Malathi Nagaraj, ward 34 Councillor is elected as the Chairman of Education Committee,
while Somu (a) Santhosh, 73rd ward council member is the Chairman of Town Planning Committee.
Ward 63 Councillor, Shanthi Murugan and ward 82 Council member V P Mubashira is elected as the Chairman of the Working Committee and Taxation & Finance respectively.
