The Kinathukadavu police arrested a migrant worker in Kinathukadavu Old Check Post area for selling ganja in the area.
Coimbatore: A 24-year-old migrant worker from Odisha has been arrested for selling ganja in Kinathukadavu area.
Inspector Senthil Kumar of Kinathukadavu police station and police personnel Muthu and Joseph were on surveillance duty at Kinathukadavu Old Check Post area on Tuesday evening. The patrol team found a man standing near a crematorium in the area and discovered that he was carrying ganja in a bag in his hand.
Investigations revealed that the 24-year old man, Sisar Brai, a native of Odisha was working as a laborer in a private yarn mill in the Kallapalayam area of Coimbatore. He had been buying ganja for wholesale from Kallapalayam and selling in Kinathukadavu. The police seized 900 grams of ganja from him and lodged him in prison, to produce at court.
