The Kinathukadavu police held a meeting with the auto drivers in Kinathukadavu area to highlight the importance of following road safety rules.
Coimbatore: A meeting on road safety rules was held by the Kinathukadavu police for auto-rickshaw drivers operating at Kovilpalayam near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district.
The meeting was chaired by Inspector Senthil Kumar of Kinathukadavu police station and was attended by many auto drivers. The drivers were advised to compulsorily carry a proper license, drive autos adhering to road rules, and avoid drinking and driving. They were instructed not to disturb or inconvenience passengers in any way.
At the meeting, the auto drivers were also advised to inform the police if they found any of their passengers looked suspicious.
