The consecration of the Angalamman Temple in Kinathukadavu was held on Saturday, 26th March, and the public in and around the area participated with religious fervor.
Coimbatore: The consecration ceremony of the Kinathukadavu Angalamman Temple was held on Saturday.
The Maha Kumbabhishekam ceremony was held at Angalamman Temple at Anna Street, Kinathukadavu, which was attended by a large number of devotees.
The Arulmigu Angalamman Thirukkovil is situated at Anna Street, Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district, and the consecration was held after 12 years, after renovation. The consecration ceremony began on Saturday evening with Vinayaka puja. This was followed by the first Yaga pooja at the Yaga Salai set up in front of the temple, followed by the second yaaga pooja this morning.
The holy water pots kept on the Yaga Salai were taken to the monumental tower of the temple with drums and were filled in the Kalash Pots on the tower, performing the consecration. Special pujas were performed to Angalamman and the deity was decorated in a grand manner.
A large number of devotees from the surrounding areas of Kinathukadavu participated in the consecration ceremony and offered prayers. Annadhanam was organized for the devotees.
