The SDPI Party's State President, who addressed the press here regarding the HIjab Conference alleged that the movie, Kashmir Files should not be screened in Tamil Nadu, as it disturbs the communal harmony in the nation.
Coimbatore: The Social Democratic Party of India State President, Nellai Mubarak arrived at Coimbatore for the Hijab Conference and stated that the Kashmir Files movie has to be banned as it is disturbing the Communal Harmony.
SDPI state president Nellai Mubarak, who was in Coimbatore for the Hijab Conference, met the media at the party headquarters.

"Kashmir Files should be banned as it disturbs communal harmony. Kashmir Files should not be screened in any language in Tamil Nadu." He added that in case the film is screened in theatres, the SDPI will gherao the theatres and launch a massive protest.
Mubarak added that the minority Muslims were ignored in the Budget presented in Tamil Nadu, and the Tamil Nadu government should take steps for the upliftment of Muslims. A committee should be set up at the IIT-Tamil Nadu institute to remove religious and caste hatred.
Mubarak requested that the TN Government has to take steps to release the 38 Muslim lifetime prisoners. "The Election Commission has not taken any steps to conduct the corporation elections in a fair manner as there has been a law and order situation in the Vellalore election issue. These undemocratic practices will only lead to horse-trading in elections", he said.
