The vehicle rally started from Chinthamani junction in Coimbatore North.
More than 100 women police personnel and women from private organizations participated in the awareness rally organized jointly by Coimbatore City police and voluntary women's organizations on the occasion of World Women's Day and urged the public to wear helmets while riding.
The rally passed through Kamarajar road, Thiruvenkatasamy road, RS Puram and Lawley Road junction and later reached the Government Engineering College.
