The Citizen's Voice Coimbatore has requested the Tamil Nadu government to take steps to make the Coimbatore Wildlife park functional at the same place it is located.
Coimbatore: The Citizen's Voice Coimbatore has requested the Tamil Nadu government to take steps to make the Coimbatore Wildlife park functional at the same place it is located and has requested to implement measures to carry out the renovate the damaged roads expeditiously.
Citizens Voice Coimbatore Consumer Association has requested the Tamil Nadu government to take steps to make the Coimbatore Wildlife Park functional at the same place as it is now.

Citizens Voice Coimbatore President C.M. Jayaraman said that "It is welcome that the Tamil Nadu government has allocated Rs 10 crore for the renovation of museums in the budget to be presented recently. The wildlife zoo located in the heart of Coimbatore district, which has been functioning for many years, is now in a defunct state. The Tamil Nadu government should reconsider everything, including shifting of this wildlife park and transporting wildlife from here to Chennai."
Stating that the zoo serves as a major source of entertainment for the people of Coimbatore, he added that the destination is economical, and taking this to the city outskirts will affect the people. People will have to face a lot of time and financial burden to go to the park.
He requested that special funds should be allocated for the functioning of the Coimbatore wildlife zoo at the same place it is located, and also steps for the renovation of museums.
CVC Jayaraman also added that the roads are in a bad shape at most places in the city and suburbs, however, the Government of Tamil Nadu should take steps to carry out the rehabilitation works in quality and expeditious manner in the interest of the people.
He also mentioned that the CVC welcomes the special allocation of funds for road works in Coimbatore.
