Coimbatore: The district collector DR GS Sameeran, shared with the students the path he had taken to become an IAS officer at the IAS Training camp seminar held at the Government Arts College
A seminar onIAS was held at The Government Arts College, Coimbatore. Coimbatore District Collector Dr. GS Sameeran was the chief guest at the seminar organized by the Free IAS Exam Coaching Centre and Department of Police Science.
District Collector Sameeran, who delivered a keynote address to the students, said, "I studied throughout the government school. The first step is to read newspapers as part of preparing for the civil service. The UPSC exam focuses on our action and social understanding."
He advised the participants to be ready to learn a lot. The district collector also shared his views on the life, he went through and what the IAS job was about and how one should prepare themselves to become IAS official. Some students shared their views and clarified their doubts about IAS with him. He later distributed books to the students and congratulated them.
Coimbatore Government College Principal Kalaiselvi and others were present on the occasion.
