Coimbatore: The Hindu Munnani members have submitted a petition at the Collectorate demanding a ban on opening TASMAC in RG Pudur area in Chinniyampalayam, Coimbatore.
The Coimbatore City District Hindu Munnani, led by district executive committee member Bhupathi Kumar, submitted a petition to the District Collectorate demanding to ban the opening of the TASMAC liquor shop at R G Pudur in Chinniyampalayam on Avinashi Road.
In their petition, they had alleged that the shop was being opened in violation of the law. The petition also stated that the temples of Ayyapan and Shiva were located in the area and hence the liquor shop there will affect the peace of the devotees.
