Coimbatore Corporation Mayor, Kalpana Anandakumar inspected the areas in West Zone Ward 37 including the Kalveerampalayam Corporation Middle School and enquired about the basic amenities of the school, and instructed the corporation engineers to renovate the Anganwadi centre and advised to construct additional classrooms. Subsequently, as the Mayor visited the Murugan Nagar, Thoppil Nagar, Bharathi Nagar, and Muthu Nagar, and inquired about the water supply. The public demanded that a new bore well in the area be constructed.
Mayor ordered the concerned persons to construct a new bore well, repair the damaged bore well and provide a regular water supply during the summer. Following this, Kalpana inspected the buildings of Marudhapuram Primary School and enquired with the engineers about the construction of additional classrooms as per the requirement of the school. Later, during the inspection of the Integrated Child Development Centre building on Nanjappan Street, Mayor Kalpana Anandakumar assured that action would be taken to construct the compound wall in response to the demand of the public.
Corporation Deputy Commissioner M. Sharmila, former Vadavalli Town Panchayat President V.M. Shanmuga Sundaram, 37th Ward Council member Kumudham Kuppusamy, West Zone Assistant Commissioner Saravanan, Assistant Executive Engineer Hemalatha, Assistant Engineer Thirukalyanasundaram, and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
