Sudha alias Kanimozhi, a resident of Siddhapudur in Coimbatore, had given her house to four families on contract terms with a sum of more than Rs 28 lakh. reportedly, Kanimozhi sold the house to another person, while the contract was still active, and the buyer also mortgaged the house deed at a bank.
The bank management has also issued a seized notice for the house for non-payment of installments. The tenants approached Sudha for a refund, who turned them down stating she had no money.
Following this, the tenants lodged a complaint with the police in September last year and have now submitted a petition to the Collectorate seeking appropriate action as their money was not yet received.
