The functionaries and party members of Makkal Needhi Maiam arrived with paper watches, pressing the Collector to implement the RTS Act, Right to Service Act, to keep corruption at check
Coimbatore: The Makkal Needhi Maiam has petitioned the Collector seeking implementation of the Right To Service Act, RTS, in the state.

The Makkal Needhi Maiam, MNM office bearers and party workers, who had come to submit a petition to the Coimbatore Collectorate, demanding implementation of the Right to Service Act in Tamil Nadu and were carrying card clocks pressing that the demands be fulfilled immediately without delay.

They alleged that the public arriving at the government officers ith pleas, were being harassed and no action is taken unless they are 'bribed', with lots of political reasons hidden behind.
The MNM has stated that the Tamil Nadu Government should pass the law to implement the Right to Service Act, in Tamil Nadu,in the budget meeting to be held, as there has been multiple petitions earlier requesting this.
