Coimbatore: The local police are looking for the gang that broke into a businessman's house and looted 15 sovereigns of gold jewelry and US Dollars from the house
Muthukumar, 43, is the son of Swaminathan, a native of Kathiranaickenpalayam Maninagar near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore. He runs a wire-cutting business. Reportedly, Muthukumar has gone to the Mariamman temple at Arithuvaramangalam in Thanjavur district on the 18th for offering a prayer, along with his wife and two children. He returned home at 12.30 am today, 21st March, only to find his house open.
As the family had a check inside, the cupboard was broke open, and clothes were scattered, and found 15 sovereigns of gold jewelry,including a gold ring, bangles, earrings and chain, US dollars, and a laptop were stolen from the cupboard. He then informed the Thudiyalur police. Following this, the police led by Thudiyalur inspector Gnanasekaran rushed to the spot and conducted an inquiry. Fingerprint experts are conducting investigations at the spot, and the police have registered a case and are checking the CCTV footage nearby.
