The Isha Yoga Centre here, organized a program named, Isha Outreach to offer scholarship to the poor students in and around the villages of Isha, helping them with their education.
Coimbatore: Economically downtrodden students in and around Isha in Coimbatore received scholarship assistance from Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore.
Isha Outreach has given scholarships to poor students living in villages around Isha yoga centre to pursue higher education. Education is the harbinger of change and development, and none of us can deny it.
With the centre and state taking various steps to make education available for everyone, private organizations, NGOs, volunteers offer support to the children for education and, Isha Outreach, a program by the Isha Yoga Centre offered scholarship to the students in the villages around Isha Yoga Centre, here in Coimbatore.
Scholarships were given to 23 girls and 4 students from Thanikandi, Mullankadu, Pattiyar Kovilpathi, Madakkadu, Madhavarayapuram, Alanthurai and other villages. More than half of them are tribal students. With this, these students who have studied in government schools will continue their graduation in engineering, nursing, arts and science disciplines with the help of Isha Foundation.
The event was held on Sunday, March 20, at Shivanga Cottage on the way to Adiyogi. Sadanandam, President of Boluvampatti Panchayat participated in the function and addressed the gathering. Alumni who have completed their graduation from Isha's scholarship and are currently working in private institutions also participated in the event and shared their experiences.
