The Kinathukadavu police are investigating the death of a driver, working in a quarry in Karachery, who was electrocuted, while he tried water washing his Tipper truck
Coimbatore: A truck driver was electrocuted to death while attempting to wash his vehicle.
Rajkumar (34), was a lorry driver from Othakkalmandapam near Coimbatore and was worked for a private stone quarry in Karachery near Kinathukadavu. He and his wife Nalini, had been working for the past six months.
Reportedly, Rajkumar, who had gone to work yesterday, 20th March, switched on the motor to wash his tipper truck.Accidentally, he was electrocuted as he held the pipe and died on the spot.
On receiving information, the Kinathukadavu police inspector Senthil Kumar and the team recovered Rajkumar's body and sent it to the Pollachi Government Hospital for post mortem.
Based on the complaint, a case is registered against stone quarry owner Rajendran and Manager Charanraj.
