The Municipal Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara led the Preparatory Meeting to set up School Management Committee at the SRP Ammaniyammal Girls High School
Coimbatore: A preparatory meeting was held at S.R.P. Ammaniyammal Girls Higher Secondary School in R.S. Puram led by the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation CommissionerRaja Gopal Sunkara.

A preparatory meeting was held yesterday at S.R.P. Ammaniyammal Girls Higher Secondary School, R.S.Puram, Coimbatore Corporation under the chairmanship of Corporation Commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara. At the meeting a plan was discussed to set up school management committees in all government and government-aided schools across Tamil Nadu on behalf of the School Education Department under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Parents also attended the meeting and they were elaborated on the need of the School Management Committee. Parents were informed how the members and leaders are elected. They were also guided on how the public can take up the initiatives related to school development, participation in schools through various schemes such as Namakku Naamey, improving the quality of education of the students, their competitive spirit, ability to face diverse challenges of the world, and grow with it. The CCMC Commissioner stated that the participation of the teachers and parents is necessary.

Subsequently, the Corporation Commissioner personally inspected photographs of important events at S.R.P. Ammaniyammal Girls Higher Secondary School and samples of scientific discoveries created by the students.
Corporation Education Officer K. Pandia Rajasekharan, the school's headmaster, parents, and students participated.
