Raw material bank, Pumpset lab, KOPMA makes requests along with welcoming few aspects of Budget 2022-23

The Kovai Power Driven Pumps and Spares Manufacturers Association KOPMA has thanked the Chief Minister and Finance Minister on the budget allocation of Rs.2787 crores for groundwater recharge and has also requested that a Raw material Bank and a pump set lab be established in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The KOPMA has thanked the Chief Minister and Finance Minister on the budget allocation of Rs.2787 crores for groundwater recharge and new barrages.

The Tamil Nadu Budget for 2022-23 was presented by the Finance Minister for the State, Palanivel Thiyagarajan, on 18th March 2022. The Budget presentation has been receiving mixed feedback from the industrial sector in Coimbatore. Accordingly, the Kovai Power Driven Pumps and Spares Manufacturers Association, KOPMA has thanked the CM and the Finance Minister for allocation of Rs.2787 crore slots for groundwater recharge and construction of new barrages in the 2022-2023 Report.

Adding that even a 1,000-foot deep tube well will be drained during the summer in certain villages, and the public will be left short of sufficient drinking water, the association said that this quota is not only a suitable project for agriculture but also for drinking water.

The allocation of Electricity tariff subsidy of Rs.9379 crores was welcoming and they added that it is expected all the machine shop and micro-entrepreneurs who use up to 10 HP will get electricity subsidy.
