More than 1,000 members of the Bharathiya Kisan Union have filed individual petitions at the grievance redressal meeting making various demands.
Coimbatore: More than 1,000 members of the Bharathiya Kisan Union have filed individual petitions at the grievance redressal meeting in Coimbatore.
Farmers Grievance Redressal Meeting is being held at The District Collectorate, Coimbatore. About 1,000 members of the Non-Party Farmers Association Bharathiya Kisan Union participated to present various demands individually.
They made demands for solution for the wildlife attack in agricultural lands, problems of leasing temple lands, immediate solution of the gas pipeline issues, taking steps to remove the stone quarries near agricultural lands,removal of water logging and preventing the construction of high power towers on agricultural lands in their petitions, besides making other demands.
