A team of Forest Officers led by Forest Ranger Saravanan found the skeletal remains of an elephant, skull, and bones, during their patrol in Narasipuram forest under Boluvampatti forest range, and examinations revealed that the animal must be a 7 year old female elephant.

The Forest Ranger Saravanan led a team of forest officers and were on a patrol in Narasipuram forest, under the Boluvampatti forest division. The patrolling officers found the skull and bones of an elephant near the Kadukkaiparai region.
The District Forest Officer and the Forest Vet Surgeon team were informed of the findings. Mudumalai Forest Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Rajesh arrived at the spot and conducted the post mortem. The assistant Veterinarian revealed that the dead elephant was a 7-year-old female.
Subsequently, the remains have been sent to the laboratory for detailed examination. Forest officials are conducting an investigation into the incident.
