The State Level Para Olympic Games for differently-abled persons were held in Chennai from 27th February to 6th March, and the participants from Coimbatore who won at the Paralympics were appreciated by the District Collector Dr. Sameeran
Coimbatore: The District Collector congratulated the participants from Coimbatore who won in the Paralympic Games held in Chennai.
The State Level Paralympic Games for differently abled persons were held in Chennai from 27th February to 6th March 2022.More than 52 differently-abled from Coimbatore participated in these competitions.Of these, 18 won medals and certificates of appreciation, while 8 persons have been selected to participate in national level sports competitions.
The winners participated in the games like shot throw, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, weightlifting, swimming competitions, etc., met the District Collector.District Collector Sameeran congratulated them and promised to provide the necessary support through the District Administration to succeed further.
Nirmal Kumar, a differently-abled boy with no hands, gave the district collector his pen as a gift after he said that even if he did not have hands, he can write well. The student wrote his name for the District Collector.
