Coimbatore: The Karpagam Institute of Technology organized a guest lecture on World Earth Day, on the topic, 'Restore the Earth', and discussed the measures to control the damage on the planet.
The KIT, Karpagam Institute of Technology hosted a guest lecture, this year on World Earth Day on the theme, ‘Restore our Earth’. The lecture focused on the need to reduce the harmful impact on our planet as we recover from the effects of covid19. It also discussed on some of the measures to control damage to our planet.
This year’s World Earth Day celebration was organized by Karpagam Institute of Technology, Coimbatore in association with Institutions Innovation Council and ECO Club. The Chief Guest R. Manikandan, (National water warrior awardee) Kovai Kulangal Pathukappu Amaippu presided over the function and faculty members and students of Karpagam Institute of Technology participated. The welcome address was presented by Infant Jegan Rakesh A J from Mechanical Department.
Chief Guest in his address pressed, “to save mother earth plant more tree”, to bring awareness among students about the problems, dangers faced by the planet earth and the measures that need to be taken to preserve the ailing planet. The celebrations came to an end with the participants committing to take the initiative of saving the environment and doing their bit for a cleaner and greener Mother Earth.
