The final year girls of Vanavaraya Agricultural College gave a practical explanation on the method of using sprayers to the farmers through the Grama Thangal Project at Paruthiyur village near Pollachi.
The trainers explained the importance of wearing masks, hand gloves, glasses while using the spray, and spray the chemicals, standing in the direction of wind blow.
They added that these chemicals have to be kept away from the reach of children, to avoid consumption of food after spraying chemicals and they shall not be handled with bare hands.
