Coimbatore: The raid held at AIADMK's Chandrasekar, the 'Namadhu Amma' Magazine publisher has been completed and no document was seized from the house.
The Anti-bribery officers conducted a second round of raids at the residences and properties belonging to SP Velumani, ex AIADMK Minister and his associates in about 58 places in Coimbatore, Salem, and cities across Tamil Nadu. One farmhouse in Kerala was also raided.
Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption police have registered a case against 13 persons, including former AIADMK minister S P Velumani, his brother S P Anbarasan, Anbarasan's wife Hemalatha, and Vadavalli Chandrasekhar, a close friend of S P Velumani, and KCB Engineers partner Chandraprakash.
The anti-bribery police raided the house of Vadavalli Chandrasekhar, publisher of "Namadhu Amma" daily in the Vadavalli area, from 6.30 am. A search was also conducted into various parts of the house and documents there were scanned. After 11 hours, the anti-bribery police raid was completed.
The officials left and Chandrashekhar's wife Sarmila Chandrasekhar said nothing was recovered during the raid.
