Coimbatore: Anti-corruption probe has been completed at the residence of Singanallur legislator KR Jayaraman.
Anti-corruption police have registered a case against 13 people, including former AIADMK minister SP Velumani, his brother SP Anparasan, Anparasan's wife Hemalatha, and Vadavalli Chandrasekhar, a close friend of SP Velumani, and KCP engineering partner Chandraprakash.
In the Coimbatore district alone, anti-corruption police raided 41 places from 6:30 a.m on Tueday, including at Singanallur legislator KR Jayaraman, former legislator Ettimadai Shanmugam, Coimbatore Srikrishna College trustee Malarvizhi Veedu and police officers.
The house owned by Singanallur legislator KR Jayaraman, godown and farm house were searched at 3 places. The search was completed at his home in Vilankurichi and at godown in Cheran. Authorities said no documents were seized there.
