The Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan, inaugurated the "Atal Tinkering Lab(ATL) for young people with the central assistance of Rs 20 lakhs at the Nice Academy School in Coimbatore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is setting up Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) in government, private and government-aided schools across the country at a cost of Rs 20 lakhs each to develop the scientific research skills of students.
The laboratory was inaugurated for the use of students at the Nice Academy School, Podanur, here on, 15th March. The laboratory has been established to enhance the scientific interest of the students and to improve the research skills and has been established with modern equipment suitable for promoting robotic and artificial intelligence.
Vanathi, who addressed during the ceremony said “Atal Laboratories are functioning to develop the learning of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, STEM, among high school children across India.”
She stated that the Prime Minister's noble plan to create a new India would help the younger community achieve in the field of science and research.
