A run to spread awareness on women’s rights, the importance of education to women, was organized on behalf of the Tirupur Corporation on International Women’s Day.
Tirupur: A Marathon was organized in Tirupur on the occasion of International Women's Day.
On the occasion of World Women's Day, The Divine Fine Arts Sabha, JCI Tirupur Metro, Tirupur Thulir Trust, and Seeds People's Welfare Trust, along with the Tirupur corporation organized a marathon to spread awareness on International Women’s Day.
The Marathon was organized near Ramasamy Muthammal Marriage Hall and the participants ran for a distance of 5 kms.
Tirupur South MLA K Selvaraj, Mayor Dinesh Kumar and Deputy Mayor MKM Balasubramaniam inaugurated the marathon.
Several members of the Tirupur Municipal Council, including NGOs, participated in the event.
