A coconut tree climber succumbed to his injuries at the Government Hospital here after he fell off a coconut tree due to a slip he suffered serious injuries in his limbs and back
Coimbatore:A coconut tree climber passed away despite treatment after he fell off a tree.
Balu belongs to the Veerapandi of Periyanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore. He worked as a coconut tree climber. Balu who visited the Periyanaickenpalayam Shanmuga Velayudham Estate on 4th, for coconut picking, slipped and fell to the ground, surviving serious injuries in his hands, legs, and his back.
He was rescued by his colleagues and was admitted to Coimbatore government hospital for treatment. Balu, who was admitted to the intensive care unit succumbed to his injuries late last night.Periyanaickenpalayam police have registered a case and are investigating the incident on the basis of a complaint filed by his son Prakash.
