The parents of a Coimbatore youth are happy that their son, who joined the Ukrainian army, has agreed to return to India.
Coimbatore: A Coimbatore student serving in the Ukrainian army is expected to return to India soon. Ravichandran hails from Subramaniampalayam near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore district.
His son Sainikesh was in Ukraine to study aviation. Meanwhile, Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine since February 24 last month. The Indians there were rescued safely by the Central Government.
Only one student died. At the same time, Sainikesh, a student from Coimbatore, didn’t return home. When contacted by his parents, he said that he had joined the Ukrainian army and would fight against Russian forces.
The parents were shocked to hear this. Parents immediately reported the incident to the Union and state government. They demanded immediate action and requested that their son is brought home.
The parents then contacted their son repeatedly and asked him to return to India immediately as it was not good to be there during the war. It’s said that now Sainikesh has agreed to return home. The Indian Embassy has been informed about this. If the information is true, then one can expect Sainikesh to return home soon.
