Coimbatore:The Airport Advisory Committee convened on Wednesday, 9th March to discuss Airport expansion and other developmental works. MP PR Natarajan, Coimbatore chaired the meet.
An Airport Advisory Committee conducted conducted a meeting on Wednesday, 9th March. The meeting was chaired by MP P.R. Natarajan. Other dignitaries present in the meeting included MLA P.R.G. Arunkumar, Corporation Commissioner Coimbatore, DRO Coimbatore, Deputy Commissioner of Police, representatives of various industries, and all stakeholders from the airport.
The agenda of the meeting included land acquisition for airport expansion, bus connectivity to the airport, improvement of road connectivity, better management of traffic, streamlining of drainages, addressing the menace of garbage dumping in and around the airport.
The Chairman emphasized solving the shortcomings at the earliest by including officials of the Airports Authority of India. The ideas and inputs by the other dignitaries were also taken positively.
