The Rathinapuri police have launched a search operation for a man who absconded after marrying an Andhra-based girl, and have intensified investigation as his brother was trapped while trying to get anticipatory bail for the absconded sibling.
Coimbatore: The Rathinapuri police have launched a hunt for a man who absconded after marrying an Andhra-based girl, based on a complaint launched by her.
Prabhakaran from Rathinapuri had been working in Andhra Pradesh. Reportedly he fell in love with a woman and the two got married. The woman lodged a complaint to the AP police stating her husband has been missing, four months after marriage. The Andhra Pradesh police registered a case under two sections on the basis of a complaint and informed the Coimbatore City Police Department.
While the police here had been on the search for Prabhakaran for the past 4 days, the Rathinapuri police received information that Prabhakaran's younger brother Damodaran was visiting the court today through a lawyer to file for anticipatory bail.
When Damodaran arrived in a two-wheeler with the lawyer from the court, he was surrounded by the police near Uppilipalayam. This caused a mild clash between the advocate and the police, creating a stir.
The police escorted Damodaran, for questioning.
