A Women’s Wing has been launched in the Laghu Udyog Bharati, a scheme to help micro and small scale industries in the country, on the occasion of Women’s Day.
Coimbatore: A dedicated women's wing has been launched on World Women's Day on behalf of 'Laghu Udyog Bharati', which is helping micro and small entrepreneurs grow across the country.
At the inaugural function held at The Co-India Campus, Avarapalayam Road, Vijayaraghavan, State President, Laghu Udyog Bharati, Hindustan Copper Limited, Director, and the Vice President of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Tamil Nadu, Kalyanasundaram, Joint General Secretary, M. Sivakumar and others participated.
Officials from various departments of the Government participated and raised awareness about the opportunities for women entrepreneurs who are currently engaged in business to improve their profession, skill development in the industry for women interested in starting a new business and the special benefits given to women entrepreneurs on behalf of the Central and State Governments. They answered questions from women who participated in the event.
Laghu Udyog Bharati is an organization for all India Small and Micro Enterprises. Various works are being carried out for the development of industries and entrepreneurs. More than 30,000 people from various industry sectors are members across the country. Initially, it had branches only in Chennai, Coimbatore and Tirupur. The total number of branches in Tamil nadu has increased to 17 in past 5 years. In which More than 1,700 industrialists have been enrolled as members.
For the first time, the Women's wing of Laghu Udyog Bharati Tamil nadu has been launched exclusively from March 8, to help existing Women entrepreneurs and Young Women's willing to became entrepreneurs in the industry sector.

State Level Committee:
On the women's wing Inauguration day itself, State level committee has been formed With 10 women's from various districts across the state.
More than 200 women Entrepreneurs and Young Women's participated in the function.
'Laghu Udyog Bharati' believes in empowering MSME and help in building a SHRESHTAR BHARAT – women wing being another milestone towards it.
Central, State Government officers from MSME DI, DIC, TANSIDCO Explained various Govt. Schemes & Subsidy and Lead bank manager explained in way of Getting loans from Nationalised banks. From Agri and Forest College Incubation centre CEO's explained about innovation ideas and thier activities for especially for Women Start- up's and Existing entrepreneurs.
