Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Police Commissioner inaugurated the provision of beverages that keep the human body hydrated to face the heat in summer as the season begins to peep in slowly in Coimbatore.
The City Police Commissioner inaugurated the process of supplying beverages to traffic guards during the summer season. As the summer season began, cool drinks were supplied to traffic guards in the Coimbatore district every year. Accordingly, Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar inaugurated the provision of cool, healthy beverages to the traffic guards this year.
The event was organized at the Annasilai Signal area in Coimbatore. The Commissioner of Police, who was present, distributed tender coconuts, spiced buttermilk and fruit juices to the traffic guards. Deputy Commissioner Uma was present and distributed the beverages.
The police officers also celebrated World Women’s Day as the women guards cut cakes. The police said the beverages will be provided to traffic guards for the 3 months, in order to keep the traffic guards working in the sun, hydrated.
