A woman surrendered at the Singanallur police station after killing her husband in a family dispute and the police arrested their son in connection with the case.
Coimbatore: A woman who killed her husband in a family feud in Singanallur surrendered at the police station.
Narayanasamy, (55) was a carpenter from Ondipudur Kamakshi Nagar area next to Singanallur in Coimbatore and his wife is Rajeshwari (50). A baby shower was held for Narayanasamy's eldest son, Rajkumar's wife at Shiva temple in Neelikonampalayam on Sunday.
Reportedly, Rajeshwari and Narayanasamy had a dispute as the latter brought his female friend for the baby shower. The dispute that escalated after reaching home, led Narayanasamy attack Rajeshwari. Enraged, Rajeshwari and Rajkumar hacked Narayanasamy with a knife with repeated blows, leading to his death.
Rajeshwari then surrendered at Singanallur police station narrating the incident. Police conducted investigations registered a case and arrested Rajkumar. This incident has caused a stir in the area.
