Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner inspected the road construction works under the Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Infrastructure Project at east zone in the city on Monday.
The Commissioner and Special Officer of the Corporation, Raja Gopal Sunkara, personally visited and inspected the construction of tar roads under Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Infrastructure Project in the east zone. The roads are under construction at No.75 New Poes Garden area 1 to 7th Street at an estimated cost of Rs.25.00 lakhs for 750 meter distance with 4 m wide. Similarly, road construction is underway at Salamat Nagar at an estimated cost of Rs.31.00 lakhs at a distance of 701 metres 4.5 m width.
The Commissioner after inspection, directed that the roads has to be constructed in a week’s time and stated that the construction of Siddharth Road is in progress at various places in Coimbatore Corporation. The Commissioner instructed the engineers to complete this expeditiously and in a quality manner.
Mariselvi, Assistant Executive Engineer, Sundharajan, Assistant Engineer Sathya and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
