DYFI protest in Coimbatore condemning the attack on fellow DYFI members in Chennai


Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) members staged a protest in Coimbatore during which they condemned the attack on their fellow members by Pallikaranai police in Chennai. It has been reported that DYFI members were protesting against demonetisation in Chennai and they were attacked by the police personnel.



On Saturday the DYFI members protested in Medavakkam in Chennai demanding to refill the ATMs which went without cash. Palllikaranai police attacked the protestors. Reacting to this, various students’ organisations and youth organisations are conducting state wide agitation to condemn this attack.

As part of this protest the DYFI and Indian Students Federation jointly organised a protest in our city today. Protestors condemned the act of the Pallikaranai police and they also demanded the arrest of the police personnel who were involved in the attack. They also raised slogans during the protest.
