State Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji lauds CM for impartial implementation of welfare and development schemes in all 234 constituencies considering them as his own constituency.
Coimbatore: Minister V Senthil Balaji chaired a public meeting to meet the public and receive petitions at Ponnaiharajapuram Maranna Gounder Primary School under the Coimbatore Corporation.
After receiving the petitions from the public, Minister Senthil Balaji told reporters that the assembly is being held at about 150 places in Coimbatore district, metropolitan and suburban areas. He said departmental officials would receive petitions from the public at these meetings.
He added that more than 3,000 petitions had been received in the assembly meetings held in 6 wards of Coimbatore yesterday alone. He stated that in most of the petitions, the elderly have applied for the allowance and immediate action will be taken on these petitions on priority basis. He said the public and trade associations in Coimbatore have put forward various demands regarding the basic structure. He held a review meeting with the concerned authorities will be hosted and assured that appropriate action would be taken soon in this direction.
The minister informed that in five months of assuming office, Chief Minister M K Stalin has fulfilled 202 of the 505 promises made. He also said that the monthly electricity tariff calculation scheme will be implemented soon as mentioned in the election promise. He said Chief Minister Stalin considered 234 constituencies as his own and implemented various projects. Minister Senthil Balaji said that 56 thousand vacancies in the power sector will be filled soon.
